Natural gas is a reliable and future-oriented alternative to oil and coal in the industry.
The transition means significant emission reductions of harmful environmental- and greenhouse gases, and lower operating and maintenance costs.
Today, gas is used in most major industrial companies that need a stable supply of process heat. For example, all Norwegian aluminium plants use gas instead of oil today.
Companies report about experiences from when they used oil that they could spend a whole day lighting the burners after a shutdown. With gas, they just press the start button- and everything works. One day of lost production is expensive.
